Four times per year, Family Caregiver Alliance hosts Camp for Caring, a two-day retreat for adults with Alzheimer's or other adult-onset cognitive impairments. A weekend of stimulating activities such as arts, music and gentle sports are offered to campers, leaving their caregivers free to take a much-needed break. Conversely, caregivers get their turn at the retreat center twice a year during FCA's Caregiver Retreat, FCA helps make it possible for caregivers to attend by helping find and fund respite care for the caregiver's loved ones during the retreat. Activities at the Caregiver Retreat include workshops, support groups, arts, massage therapy, games and other forms of entertainment.
