Renaissance Park is located on bustling Bryant Irvin Road, near restaurants and shops. The stucco frame and well-maintained landscape make the attractive property blend right its affluent urban surroundings. The interior is wallpapered in muted colors and lined with new carpeting. During a recent remodel, management added contemporary furniture throughout the facility to counter the somewhat institutional environment. Residents' rooms are moderately sized. Each has a window and is furnished with the essentials. The dining room and activity parlor are the main common areas. Residents and their loved ones reserve the private dining room for intimate gatherings. The outdoor area features comfortable patio furniture. Hallways are spacious and neat. Soft artificial lighting is used to accommodate the special needs of residents with dementia. Renaissance Park staff encourages residents to be as independent as possible; the rehabilitation programs are vital to this effort. The rehabilitation department, staffed by Medicare-certified caregivers, provides speech and hearing therapy, physical therapy, respiratory and occupational therapy, and outpatient therapeutic services. Residents enjoy a full calendar of events, which includes cooking classes, dances, late night bingo, church services and wine and cheese socials. The staff believes that by actively participating in this community, residents will reach their full potential.
