Immanuel's Health Care is the house that faith built. The thirty-eight member congregation of the local World Baptist Missionary Church raised $4.4 million to construct Immanuel's, making it East Fort Worth's first new SNF in over thirty-five years. It is owned and operated by a nonprofit corporation. The management team worked together prior to the opening of the facility. During our visit, we noted the warm interaction between residents and staff. Immanuel's sits on a quiet section of Village Creek Road. The brick exterior is immaculate, as are the grounds, which include ample parking. Warm earth tones and soft lighting pervade the facility. Silk flowers add spots of bright color throughout. The wide hallways are equipped with handrails and feature comfortable seating areas. Residents personalize their rooms with their own furnishings. The rooms are bright and moderately sized. Schoolchildren from the neighboring church were entertaining the residents in the activities area when we visited. In addition to the main dining room, there are two private dining rooms, which may be reserved for events such as birthday parties and family dinners. Residents use the spacious chapel in the center of the facility for worship and community events. Services are held several times a week. Plans to build an affiliated school and church are in the works.
