Garden Terrace is a short distance from Benbrook Lake, neighboring parks, shopping centers and medical facilities. The lobby is a comfortable gathering place that boasts a grand view of the patio. Although the building has a somewhat institutional look, its soft interior color scheme of earth tones provides a warm and homey contrast. Residents' furnished rooms are spacious and get plenty of natural light. Residents add their own decorative knickknacks. Each floor is secured and comes with its own recreational and dining room. The dining room is adequately sized to accommodate residents on each floor. The building is brightened by an abundance of windows and lovely glass chandeliers. The hallways are broad and neat. During our visit, the halls were festively adorned with Halloween decorations. The garden patio is furnished for outdoor rest and relaxation. The Garden Terrace staff specializes in Alzheimer's and dementia care. The facility is divided into five units—Medicare, hospice, high functioning, behavioral, and hospice for residents with Alzheimer's. Residents benefit from respite care as well as inpatient and outpatient therapy services.
