Broadway Plaza's skilled nursing facility is located at the rear of an expansive gated compound. The stately brick building is outlined by manicured shrubs and towering oak and cedar trees. The SNF occupies the second and third floors, which are lined with blue carpeting and wallpapered in neutral shades. Artificial plants and hanging pastoral prints spruce up the otherwise simple décor. Residents' rooms have a somewhat institutional feel, although large windows allow lots of light and add cheer to the space. Each floor has a cozy dining area that doubles as an activity room, where residents enjoy playing board games and working on puzzles. For outdoor enjoyment, residents gather on the furnished back patio. A stone birdbath attracts much activity from the facility's winged neighbors—delightful entertainment for bird lovers! The hallways are spacious enough to accommodate residents in hospital beds. Natural light radiates throughout the facility. At the time of our visit, many of the residents were busy with daily therapies. The majority of the staff has been at Broadway Plaza for several years, adding reliability and consistency to the homey environment.
