Oak Park, a stucco building with a somewhat institutional air, enjoys privacy from passersby on Bryant Irvin Road due to its screen of large trees. The covered loading area attached to the front of the building is flanked by shrubbery. An upscale Fort Worth neighborhood provides the backdrop to the facility. Inside, floral borders highlight the beige décor. Residents enjoy abundant and comfortable seating areas both inside the facility and outside on the patios. Wheelchair users have ample room in the hallways, which are lined with handrails. Residents have several size options to choose from when they select a room, all of which have a window. The bathrooms feature practical touches such as raised toilet seats and walk-in showers.

Meals are served restaurant-style in the spacious dining area. The facility boasts a "satellite" dining room, which is used by residents who desire privacy. Activities also take place in the dining area. Staff members post a monthly events calendar, which lists exercise, bingo, scenic drives and shopping trips. The residents assist staff members in producing a monthly publication. We noticed pleasant interaction between the two groups.
