he Broadway Plaza is a magnificent building at the corner of Plaza Parkway, easily accessible to Interstate 30. The red brick facility is surrounded by young oak trees, colorful blossoms and trimmed hedges. The entryway is a grand two-story room furnished with cherrywood tables and dark blue and floral-print sofas. The fireplace is flanked by built-in bookshelves.

Residents' moderately sized rooms have plenty of closet space. Residents decorate and paint the rooms to suit their tastes. Each has two large windows. The dining room features a lovely view of the patio. Brass and crystal chandeliers illuminate an elegant display of white linen tablecloths and maroon and floral-print upholstered chairs. The kitchen staff prepares mouthwatering entrées such as beef lasagna, Italian vegetables, fresh tossed salad, garlic bread and strawberry rhubarb pie. The common areas located at both ends of the halls are furnished with plush sofas and chairs. We observed many residents visiting and socializing in these areas. A group of women fresh from the beauty salon looked lovely. The Broadway Plaza at Recessed lighting, along with natural light, gives the building a soft glow. Residents take full advantage of comfortable rest spots in the halls. The outdoor area is lush with greenery.

One tour guide informed us that resident participation is very high at Broadway Plaza. Residents enjoy a calendar chock-full of events that include morning exercise classes, dominoes, bridge, bingo, Scrabble, movie nights, scenic drives and outings to the grocery store. The atmosphere is decidedly warm and inviting.
