When visiting LifeQuest Nursing Center, we felt as if we'd stepped on to a nature preserve. Situated on twenty acres of wooded grassy land, the grounds of this facility are awash in flowers, bushes and walkways. Deer roam freely in an expanse of greenery surrounding a delightful gazebo and walking path, all beautifully tended to and visible from most rooms in the facility. A road winds through rolling hills leading to a petunia-covered canopy covering the facility's patio entrance. A lobby with a friendly receptionist, vibrant aquarium and lots of comfortable seating welcomes visitors. Large potted plants soak in lots of sun from a skylight overhead. Large windows provide rooms with a view of lawns, gardens or woods, much to the delight of resident nature lovers. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items to decorate their own space. Corner rooms, available for higher risk patients, each have a window facing a nurses' station. Breakfast is served in the bedrooms, while lunch and dinner are enjoyed in the spacious dining room, a bright area that boasts fantastic views of the grounds. The large adjoining activity room hosts pastimes including sing-alongs, manicures, arts and crafts, bible study and socials. Comfy sitting areas dot brightly lit hallways, all looking out to beautiful, wide-open land.
