A professional team comprised of social workers, chaplains and bereavement counselors provides clients of VistaCare Hospice psychosocial and spiritual care during end-of-life. Visits to clients are frequent and can occur any day of the week, twenty-four hours a day. VistaCare's Open Access program can accept patients still receiving medical care, and those without do-not-recusitate orders. The organization prides itself on a two-hour response time to referrals as well as quick and regular contact with family members and caregivers.
