Alterra Wynwood offers a scenic, comfortable environment and the security of vigilant and personalized care. Alterra Clare Bridge, which provides assistance specifically to memory-impaired residents, is adjacent to Wynwood. Recent renovations have completely overhauled both the exterior and interior of both buildings, constructed of stone and modern siding. A peaceful gazebo sits amid the seasonally landscaped property, conveniently located near the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The surrounding upscale community is safe and social, with Montgomery Mall just two miles away.

Whether one enjoys small, intimate surroundings or wide-open spaces, Alterra Wynwood can accommodate. Residents can choose from four room options. The Ambler room is the smallest, but still provides ample space. The Buckingham includes a kitchenette, and the Chalfront, a kitchenette and a living space. The Doylestown is the largest room and can be semiprivate or private. A rocker, table and floor lamp are included. Residents live in six different "neighborhoods," each with its own living and dining rooms. Tables topped with china, glassware and fine linens add luxury to the dining experience. Alternate meals are always available, and the regular menu includes such appetizing options as veal parmesan, ham and oven-browned or scalloped potatoes with peas.

The living rooms, bright and spacious with raised ceilings, are all equipped with TVs, fireplaces, pianos, popcorn machines and refrigerators, as well as patios for fresh air and late-night stargazing. Other common areas include a private dining room, a game room with a big-screen TV and video collection, a mini library, and a large room for lectures and family nights. Residents engage in activities like sing-alongs, spelling bees, trivia games, baking cookies and watching movies, and have even enjoyed watching doggie talent shows! If all that excitement should become tiring, six whirlpools offer relaxation for the weary. Alterra Wynwood is not only a wonderful place to live; it's also an exceptional place to work.
