Wissahickton Hospice is part of Penn Home Care & Hospice Services, a division of University of Pennsylvania Health System. A certified Medicare and Medicaid hospice provider since 1982, Wissahickton is one of the only organizations in the area to offer children's bereavement programs. Their Caring Way program offers care to homebound patients with end-stage illnesses who are not yet prepared to accept hospice care. Patients who do not have a primary caregiver but want to receive hospice services can do so through the Living Alone program. Wissahickton Hospice is unique in that the organization serves all people, regardless of their ability to pay.
