The Sweet Life at Shawnee, located in Shawnee Kansas offers Alzheimer's and Dementia Care services for seniors. We are a secure community with 18 apartments on each of our three neighborhoods. Accommodations are ranch style with no steps or elevators for residents to negotiate.

Our staff is committed to making each person feel safe, comfortable and at home. Residents are encouraged to stay connected to the world and sure of the place they have in it. At the same time, residents continue to make choices and live life freely, but in a secure environment.

The Sweet Life team includes licensed nurses in the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have highly trained and qualified staff specializing in memory care and staff to resident ratio that is well above industry standards. Our design maximizes independence, while enabling safe wandering.

Activities from physical fitness to recreational pursuits to educational and spiritual programs; there is always a variety of activities to stimulate, entertain and enrich the lives of each resident. Exercise programs are tailored to meet each resident's needs. Activities include golf, trips to the ballgame, off-site luncheons, movies and much more. Live entertainers play almost every day for residents' enjoyment.

Our in-house culinary staff provides freshly-prepared meals and snacks with a rotating menu to please even the most finicky diner, Our Central Village has the feel of a bustling square with a bar and grill, ice cream parlor, beauty shop and café.
