Senior Helpers offers its clientele a comprehensive list of nonmedical services. Locally owned and operated, the office serving the metro Orlando area provides extensive housekeeping services, personal grooming, companionship, meal planning and preparation, transportation to appointments, medication reminders, ambulatory assistance and assistance with miscellaneous errands. An integral part of Senior Helpers’ care model involves personal companionship; caregivers organize indoor and outdoor activities such as reminiscence exercises, current events discussions, movie hour, scrapbooking and outings to visit neighbors, friends and local entertainment venues.

Senior Helpers has developed a nonmedical Alzheimer’s training program for its caregivers as well, which supports its mission of preventing premature institutionalization. Dale and Marian Gardner started the Orlando-area business after a very positive personal experience with in-home care for Marian’s mother. The care made a huge difference in Marian’s mother’s life and in the quality of the time Marian had with her mother. They’ve recruited caregivers as if they were hiring for their own family.
