Grand Lake Gardens, the assisted living portion of a larger retirement community of the same name, enjoys proximity to Interstate 580 as well as numerous shopping, dining and entertainment possibilities. Grand Lake Theater is not far away. Thriving plants create a lush border along the walkway leading to the tall building, where residents enjoy the conveniences of elevators and a garage.

Each of the facility's six floors features a living room furnished with unique décor and small tables where residents play cards (a favorite activity). The recently remodeled dining room possesses a penthouse atmosphere thanks to its top floor location. The area also boasts immaculate, old-fashioned furnishings and spectacular views from an entire wall of windows. Residents may choose from studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments, many of which feature balconies or patios; they may also choose the colors of the carpet and wall paint prior to moving in. The studios are available in two sizes.

The residents are a highly independent bunch who enjoy a busy schedule of exercise, bridge and performances by guest entertainers, as well as writing and computer classes. Strolling the walkway that extends the length of the outdoor area and reading in the library are other popular pastimes.
