At the time of our visit, BACS' adult day program was slated for relocation on Grimmer Boulevard. The new location is adjacent to one of the organization's Creative Living centers, a community-based, rehabilitation day program. Participants crafted festive holiday decorations as we toured the facility.The staff and volunteers are an integral part of the successful program. Most of the staff members participate in various BACS programs in and around the East Bay, which directly contributes to the close-knit nature of this community. County Adult School teachers aid the staff in implementing the activity program. BACS strives to provide a supportive environment that challenges its participants both mentally and physically. As we toured, staff members busily led group activities. Activity mainstays include trivia, chair volleyball, walking, musical performances, field trips and everyone's favorite—bingo!
