Mugungwha Silver Town blends right into its residential surroundings. Bushes and plants border a ramp that leads to the front entrance. The Korean influence extends throughout the facility, from the furniture and artwork in the lobby to the fine china and food served in the dining room. The room, with its mahogany Oriental-style furniture, resembles a restaurant. During our visit, we caught the very beginning of lunch and saw tons of fresh vegetables. Onions, spinach and bok choy all looked healthy and appetizing. If a resident is sick, room service is available free of charge.

The cozy TV room has comfortable sofas and a few cushioned chairs. Floral curtains brighten the activity room, which contains a piano and a big-screen TV. Residents sing, exercise, play games, work on arts and crafts projects, and worship daily. Both the dining and activity rooms have access to the plant-laden patio. Patio tables and chairs stand on artificial grass. A smaller patio with wood floors contains benches.

Photographs of smiling residents hang from their doors. The private and shared rooms are immense, warmed by soft green and cream-colored carpets. Some of the double rooms come with two bathrooms so that each resident has his or her own. With privacy and rooms as comfortable as these, it's easy to relax and feel at home.
