Glendale Gardens ADHC is a single-story structure surrounded by office buildings on a busy street. The facility doesn't provide a parking lot, and street parking can be hard to find. Stairs on the side of the building lead to the entrance. On the other side is a ramp. The interior is composed of two rooms, both enhanced by still-life paintings. The activity room, mainly used for exercise and musical performances, is decorated with a unique flair—one wall is lined with mirrors, and another features a calming mural of palm trees. Large windows flood the dining room with natural light. While the light green walls brighten and open up the space a bit, the room appeared somewhat cramped. White vinyl-covered tables are positioned close to each other, and there isn't much room to walk around and mingle. Some activities take place here; during our tour, participants were engaged in a rousing game of bingo. The program welcomes people with mild dementia and mental health issues, and aims to help prevent premature institutionalization. Programming includes daily exercise, various games, special events, parties and regular trips to local restaurants and attractions. Participants appeared comfortable and content. They interacted pleasantly with staff members and seemed to be enjoying themselves.
