Eden Elder Care Home's tan exterior is well-maintained, thanks to ongoing repairs. Agapanthus and calla lilies grow beneath a mature tree in the front yard. The driveway lies along one side of the home. Parking can be a challenge on this portion of Regent Street.

Victorian couches and other furnishings line the walls of the homelike common area. The arrangement of furniture made it somewhat difficult to chat with a talkative resident who was seated across from us in the large room; on the other hand, it makes the area seem very spacious. Two residents napped in the sunlight, while others read or watched television. Paintings add additional color to the pink walls in the hallways. Both of the home's two floors feature dining areas.

Many residents choose to furnish the rooms with their own belongings. Residents with second floor rooms must be able to use the stairs since there is no elevator. The rooms located on the first floor accommodate wheelchair users. All residents' rooms are private. The home features three decks; the back patio overlooks the trees and benches of a small park, where residents enjoy taking walks. The administrator informed us that the residents attend activities at a local senior center. The staff members, many of whom were fairly new, behaved in a friendly and attentive manner toward residents.
