Redwood trees and a lovely wooded hillside surround this dementia care community set on seventeen acres. The expansive location is beautiful and serene. Silverado Senior Living's grounds are ideal for an outdoor picnic or field trip, and the paved walking paths make strolls easy for wheelchair users.

The community consists of five identical, ground-level buildings known as "neighborhoods". Each one accommodates individuals with a different level of dementia. Because the buildings are so similar, when residents' needs change, the adjustment of moving to a different neighborhood is not as great. Painted in calm, neutral tones that emphasize the surrounding trees and landscape, each building has its own kitchen, activity area and large enclosed outdoor patio. An executive chef prepares delicious and healthful meals. A large and attractive room is used for family gatherings; the facility staff is quick to help with food, decoration and cleanup. The room is also used for training and educational purposes. The business office is pleasantly homey. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade cookies make it an excellent place to sit and discuss the care of a loved one. Resident pets are another homey touch.
