What's Homecare?
Homecare, also known as in-home care, is professional, non-medical care that an individual receives in the home to help with anything from companionship to daily living needs.
What They Offer
Homecare aides:
- provide companionship and assistance with the activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, bathing, toileting and dressing and/or medication reminders
- may also help with light household chores or transportation needs
- are NOT providers of skilled doctor-prescribed medical care, such as home health care
