Specialized Alzheimer's Homecare takes place in the home of an individual with Alzheimer's or dementia. This type of professional and non-medical care can provide anything from companionship to help with personal care tasks. Alzheimer's homecare aides are trained to manage dementia behaviors, such as Sundowner's syndrome, wandering, or agitation, while also ensuring the patient's safety and comfort.

What They Offer
Homecare aides:

• provide companionship and assistance with the activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, bathing, toileting and dressing and/or medication reminders
• may also help with light household chores or transportation needs
• are NOT providers of skilled doctor-prescribed medical care, such as home health care
