What's Assisted/Alzheimer's Living?
Assisted living facilities are residences for seniors who require some care or help with the activities of daily living, such as bathing, eating or dressing. Alzheimer's care facilities are for seniors who require care due to dementia; they are often set-up with special safeguards for wandering and caregivers trained in handling dementia behaviors.

What They Offer
Assisted living and Alzheimer's facilities provide:

• aid and personal care for seniors (Some assisted living facilities have nurses on staff; however, this is not required by law.)
• usually meals, housekeeping, laundry services, scheduled transportation, group activities and field trips, assistive tools such as emergency call systems and rooms equipped with grab bars
