I brought my Mom to yoga with me and she loved it. She’s in her mid seventies.
You know I've thought of trying yoga but honestly I didn't want to be standing next to some young thing who can put her leg behind her head. My body isn't what it used to be, but I guess that's why I should do some yoga! I didn't realize so many places offer classes for people my age.
Another great resource in San Francisco for seniors is The Yoga Garden. They offer Ageless Yoga on Mondays from 10:30 to 12, Tuesdays from 10:30 to 12 and from 4:45 to 6:15; Wednesdays from 10:30 to 12, Thursdays from 10:30 to 12 and from 4:45 to 6:15 as well as Saturdays at noon. The program is headed by a Gerontologist and taught by certified Iyengar teachers.
