  1. Pam Naito Says:

Is it true or a wives tale that cola drinks contribute to bone loss?

  2. Dr. Harvey Gilbert Says:

Coke, Pepsi, and other carbonated cola drinks, including decaf and diet versions, are associated with lower bone mineral density in older women according to the Framingham Osteoporosis Study. These findings did not apply to men or to non-cola carbonated beverages, and the reasons for bone loss remain uncertain.

  3. Pam Naito Says:

I do the walking, cycling, and moderate jogging. Is there a book that specifically describes weight lifting exercises to maintain bone density?

  4. Bernard Laufer Says:

Pam, you may want to check out the web page Best Bone Density Exercises for your Osteopenia http://www.osteopenia3.com/bone-density-exercises.html
