Does you home owners insurance cover accidents for contractors? Most do not and if they do expect to pay very high premiums (same as if you provide the insurance while building a house!). Who is responsible if the caregiver is neglectful or causes injury? (Contractors usually don't carry the liability coverage needed) What about your state's licensing requirements?
