My husband is a hoarded. It had not occurred to me until I saw an ad for an upcoming special on tv. I had a "light bulb" moment. Initially, I felt that all he needed was a "nudge
from me to get him started. As the weeks turned to months - I became frustrated and began to complain. He seemed to understand my frustration and would always agree to "straighten or clean the mess." My first strategy was to ignore it. that just didn't work. Recently -I discovered that my blood pressure has risen significantly since I have moved into my husband's home. He inherited it from his mother and I assume that she was a hoarded too. I am trying to read as many things as I can to become familiar with this way of living. I feel frustrated and "surrounded". I am certain that it is affecting my bouts with "panic."
