Well written. I have two things to add. For funerals there are now what is called a Celebrant that will conduct a non denominational funeral service and will make it personal, telling stories and history about the deceased, etc. I met my first one not that long ago. Another new career field that is growing.
Also, I was at a presentation recently and they asked if we knew about the 40/70 rule. When an adult child turns 40 or an elder turns 70, it is time to have the talk. That way it is an arbitrarty time, in that it wasn't because of a situation of health, etc., just a point in time.
