"Twelve ounces of regular beer has 144 calories..."
The problem with that statement is that nowadays, what's a "regular" beer? There are now around 1,400 breweries in the U.S., most of them craft breweries. Add to this mix are the hundreds of imported brands on shelves today and it get's difficult to distinguish the caloric value of a pilsner, wheat beer, stout, bock, porter, etc. Did you know that there are 732 calories in 12-ounces of the Boston Beer Company's "Utopia" or 330 calories in Sierra Nevada's "Bigfoot?"
That's why I've documented the nutritional values of 2,000 worldwide beers. No more guessing, no more estimating.
