Very relevant, interesting and timely posting. I wanted to take a moment and point out some of the studies from the Canadian Caregiver Organization discussing the increasing role of Men in Caregiving. Being one of four sons - my brothers and I fall into this role. Check the link at the bottom to read a little more on this important and also undervalued role in society at the link on the bottom. Summarising, "In Canada, up to 30% of those caring for
elderly parents are sons" and "Sole caregiving sons will become more common as the number of aging parents increases with smaller nuclear families and fewer women available for caregiving."
