About Gilbert Guide

Helping families find quality senior care.

Not too long ago, if you were looking for quality senior care for yourself or a loved one, you had to do an exhausting amount of legwork. There simply was no reliable, comprehensive source of detailed information on senior care facilities and services.

We decided to change that—and we did so with the publication of our acclaimed Gilbert Guide senior care guidebooks, first introduced in 2003. Today, we continue to challenge the status quo. Our Web site offers the most extensive and helpful source of senior care articles, tools and provider directories in the U.S. What’s more, we tackle the topics that nobody else discusses—from the very pragmatic to the very sensitive—so that our readers come away feeling educated, empowered and understood.

From a groundbreaking guidebook . . .

When we started out, we broke new ground by establishing standards and criteria for assessing the quality of the many types of long-term care available. We hired experts to visit and thoroughly review each and every provider in six major territories across the U.S.

Using the information our experts collected, we chose the best senior care providers in each area. Then we shared our ratings and narrative reviews with the public through our printed guides. Finally, finding good information was as easy as making a trip to your local bookstore.

To the biggest senior care site on the Web.

Even with our extensive provider reviews, we found that there was still a need for even more information about quality senior care. Plus, the need existed in every corner of the U.S.—not just in major cities.

For that reason, we now offer an even wider range of resources to help families and caregivers in their time of senior care need—and we make these resources easily accessible online. We also license our content to select organizations for publication on their Web sites.

Today, visitors to GilbertGuide.com will find:
